The Scroll
Ok, I’ve posted a few pictures in the past, this is a fast iphone video of scroll number 1 of 2. Sutu worked on continuous scrolls of butcher paper to create the first pass of art for A Night of Gatecrashing. This is the first scroll. It is 19 inches high by 38 feet long.

Sutu takes Greenland
Australian based artist and the psychedelic genius behind the artwork for the first Gatecrashers graphic novel, Sutu, is heading to Greenland for his next big project.
On the heels of the success with a socio-cultural-educational-multi-media-comic-based project Neomad, Sutu is headed north to take his winning model to Greenland.
We can’t wait to see what he has in store.

Writing
Okay, I’ll try not to bore myself or you with writing self help posts. But I sure seem to have found my way onto a bunch of blogs that have one top 20 list after another. So here’s a quick post from Donald Maas Literary agency with writing prompts to test your direction.
- 03 Find any violence in your ms. Delete any shock, fear or horror. Replace with two *conflicting* emotions that are less obvious.
- 02 What’s the most selfless thing your MC does? What good change or effect does that have on someone unexpected? Add that in.
- 01 – What’s the worst thing your MC does? Whom and how does that hurt? Now work backwards, set it up to hurt even more.
a design question
We’ve been working on a pitch book for Gatecrashers. The bulk of it is in the style of the Palomar Observer, then some of it is presented as if on the monitor of a STRC team dash-mounted display. But from there we have to get into the business of the business a bit and that’s where it gets a bit tricky. Here’s a background element I created. We’ll see if it makes it to the final. ps. in the studio this morning listening to Ill Street Lounge
